Coach Stephens

Coach Stephens grew up on a farm in the Nashville area. He has a
Bachelor's Degree from Middle Tennessee State University and a Master's degree
from the University of Tennessee. In the past, he has taught agricultural
mechanics, agricultural engineering, greenhouse management, wildlife
management, and co-op. He has also coached basketball and freshman
football. His favorite CDEs are Agricultural Mechanics, Farm Business
Management, and Soil Judging.
Coach Wenzel

Coach Wenzel is originally from East Tennessee. He has a Bachelor's
degree from Austin Pea State University and a Master's degree from the
University of Tennessee. He has taught Small Animal Care and Agricultural
Business Management. In addition, he coaches freshman football in the
fall. His favorite CDEs are Farm Business Management, Agricultural Sales,
and Agricultural Marketing Plan.
Mrs. Garrison

Mrs. Garrison grew up in a farming family on the Tennessee/Kentucky line.
She is a graduate from Portland High School and was the first ever female
from Portland High School to receive her American FFA degree. She
attended Western Kentucky University on an academic scholarship as well as a
scholarship from the U.S. Tobacco Companies. She has a Bachelor's Degree
in Agricultural Education and Extension from Tennessee State University. She is
CASE certified in AFNR (Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources), ASA
(Agricultural Sciences-Animal) and APT (Agriculture Power and Technology).
Currently, she teaches Honors Agriscience, Large Animal Science, Vet Science
and FFA Leadership(SAE) during Commando Time. Her favorite CDE/LDEs are Meats
Judging, Poultry Judging, and Floriculture.
Miss Gates

Miss Gates is originally from Arizona but
moved to Tennessee in 2006. She was an FFA member at Wilson Central High
School and a graduate of Tennessee Tech University. After graduating from
Tech, she interned with National FFA and received her Master’s Degree from
the University of Arkansas. She teaches all the regular agriscience
courses at HHS and enjoys coaching the livestock and agricultural
communications CDE as well as the conduct of chapter meeting LDE.
Mrs. Ross

Jessica (Garner) Ross recently joined
the cohort of Ag Teachers at HHS. She is a 2020 graduate of the University of
Tennessee Knoxville with a Bachelors of Science in Agriculture and a minor in
Food and AgBusiness. Although she did not grow up on a farm, she was heavily
involved in FFA in high school and agricultural organizations in college. Her
passion in teaching comes from her Ag teachers and the difference they made in
her life in high school. She hopes to open students’ eyes to the world of
agriculture. Her favorite LDEs/CDEs are the Marketing Plan CDE, Livestock
Judging, Floriculture, and Prepared Public Speaking.
